Key Areas of Responsibility

The primary mission of an Accounts Receivable Collections Representative is to collect on past due accounts.

  • Responsible for recovering funds on past due accounts;
  • Successfully negotiate appropriate payment arrangement terms with customers;
  • Maintain positive customer relationships in order to retain the customer;
  • Resolve customer disputes and complaints within company guidelines, emphasizing on providing excellent customer service;
  • Accurately update customer records in the billing system; and
  • Must demonstrate initiative in problem solving and in working with other departments within the organization.


We’re flexible but these are a must:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving ability;
  • Responsive and easily adapts to change;
  • PC literate;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; and
  • Team player who is goal oriented, objective driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


  • Previous collection experience is an asset but not necessary.
