With rapid growth following a new video game release, the studio was experiencing capacity issues and performance bottlenecks with its server and storage infrastructure, negatively impacting productivity. Propaganda Games needed a solution to improve access speed to digital assets, ensure asset security, and provide a foundation for future growth. The entire work scope had to be completed within a one-month window over the Christmas holidays.
Fully Managed™ designed and coordinated the migration of several key services from legacy hardware onto new server and network equipment. The project involved resource coordination of several stakeholders, including Disney Interactive Studios IT group, outsourced IT in the U.S., as well as local resources provided by Fully Managed™ and partners in Vancouver, B.C.
Close collaboration with numerous technology vendors — including Hewlett-Packard (HP), Network Appliance (NetApp), Microsoft, Perforce and VMware — contributed to the project's successful completion on budget, and within the one-month deadline.
As a result of Fully Managed™ 400-hours of professional services over the December holidays, the client's employees were able to work seamlessly on the new infrastructure when they returned to work in early January.
The resultant network gained the client a performance increase of almost 400%. Propaganda Games continues to harness Fully Managed™ expertise and services.
