Office 365 - Lync and SharePoint Online

We just completed our internal migration onto Lync Online and SharePoint Online, powered by Office 365. While we've been heavily involved with Office 365 since beta, and have migrated several clients successfully to the platform so far, we weren't in a position to migrate our internal infrastructure until now.

I'm pleased to say that two days into our deployment, it's safe to say that the Lync and SharePoint provided for by Office 365 are going to completely revolutionize the way we communicate internally. Some of the key new features we are now taking advantage of include:

• Next generation Lync Instant Messaging client
• One-on-one and group video chat
• Desktop / application / presentation sharing
• Seamless integration with Active Directory and integration with partner organization through federation services (single sign-on)
• Seamless document management with SharePoint (a polite goodbye to file servers)
• All of this works from anywhere, on virtually any client (Windows, Mac & mobile devices)

We will be posting a lot more content around the various benefits and use cases, but in the meantime, if you haven't taken a good look at Office 365 yet, prepare to have your mind blown.
